Ram Island is one of twenty-five named islands in the estuary at the lower end of Maine's Sheepscot River, between Wiscasset and its meeting with the Atlantic Ocean. The estuary is a favorite of sea kayakers, including Gayle Fraas and Duncan Slade. This quilt includes a painted map of part of the estuary, along with a view of the spruce ledges of Ram Island from the water.
