A portrait of a Canadian lynx, a wild cat native to Canada and Alaska and parts of the northern US, including Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. The secretive and solitary lynx has a dense silvery-brown coat, a ruffed face, and tufted ears and is more than twice the size of a domestic cat. Lynx are denizens of northern forest that feed predominantly on snowshoe hares.
